Our 2025 Marriage Recap

As the year comes to an end, I’ve been thinking about what this year actually looked like for us. Not just the big moments, but the everyday ones in between. 2025 was full of change, adjustment, and growth, and it felt like a good time to pause and reflect on what this year of marriage taught me.

2025 was busy and full in the best way. We traveled a lot this year, nine trips total. Traveling together has shown me how much marriage is about flexibility, patience, and learning how to enjoy each other even when plans change or things don’t go exactly right.

This year we also moved into our apartment, which was exciting and honestly a really good thing for our marriage. Creating a space that’s ours and figuring out day-to-day life together made our relationship feel stronger and more settled. It wasn’t just a move, it was a step forward in building our life.

And somewhere in the middle of all that, we got our first dog, which has taught us a lot about patience and teamwork (and how little sleep you can function on). It’s been an adjustment, but a sweet one, and definitely added some chaos to our routines.

If I had to sum up what this year taught me, it’s this:
Marriage is unpredictable, and it’s a blessing.
Things don’t always look how you expect, but that doesn’t make them bad, it just makes them real.

Looking ahead to 2025, I feel hopeful. Not because I have big expectations or goals, but because I trust what we’re building. I’m excited to keep growing together and to see where the next year takes us!
